Shoveling the slush with dad
Six-year-old Noah Schultz and his dad, David, were busy shoveling a thick goopy layer of slush off the driveway on Oak Street in Osakis last Thursday. Mild winter weather made way for a rain and snow mix. Father and son were trying to stay ahead of the snowstorm that blew through the area over the weekend. Blizzard warnings were issued for much of the New Year's weekend and travel was restricted on Interstate 94 from Alexandria to Moorhead. According to the KSAX Meteorologist Mark Anthony, the Osakis area picked up 10 - 13 inches of snow. Snow banks are piled high across town and all of that slush has now turned to ice with frigid temperatures moving in behind the weekend blizzard.
